JCI Dhaka Sparks holds seminar on women's digital empowerment

On International Women's Day on March 18, JCI Dhaka Sparks and JCI Dhaka Ace jointly held a seminar titled "Embrace Equity, Women Empowerment in Digital Arena."

Nadia Binte Amin, director of FBCCI and president of Women Entrepreneurs Network for Development Association Bangladesh, was the chief guest of this event, while Jebunnesa Afroz, former MP of Barisal 5, and vice president of Barisal Awami League, was also present, said a press release.

Mohammad Monirul Islam PPM, ADC Cyber and Special Crime Division, Tasnuva Ahmed, director, and COO of Astha IT, and Shabnam Faria, actress, and media personality, were in the panel discussion.

The panel was moderated by Shahmina Isha Mannan, IPLP of JCI Dhaka Sparks.

The guests shared their experience and ideas regarding the women in the digital arena.

Most of them discussed about the fall behind the women in digital space and how they overcame from those situations.

Md Monirul Islam, ADC shared how women can get support from the cybercrime and cyber bullying.

Nadia Binte Amin Shared her stories of rise and development of women entrepreneurship.

Shabnam Faria shared her journey of becoming an actress despite facing the cyber bullying and other obstacles.

Former MP of Barisal 5 Jebunnesa Afroz shared her experience of becoming an entrepreneur and a politician.   

The program ended by the vote of thanks by Local president of JCI Dhaka Sparks and JCI Dhaka Ace.
