Urmi Group has been awarded Digital Bangladesh Award 2022 in the category “Technical – Private (Best Team)” for its exemplary leadership in innovation by implementing an RFID system to track the movement of yarn and grey rolls in its textile facility Fakhruddin Textile Mills.
The ERP-integrated environment-friendly RFID system facilitates labour savings, textile machinery downtime reduction, automated audit, finding a specific item, better productivity and efficiency due to a smooth supply chain, reads a press release.
Managing Director of Urmi Group and Director of BGMEA Asif Ashraf along with Mir Ashraful Hossain, director and COO of Urmi Group, received the award from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a program held at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) on Monday.
Directors of Urmi Group Shamarukh Fakhruddin and Faiaz Rahman were also present on the occasion.
