Premier Bank’s total assets grow as it steps into its 23rd year

Premier Bank's assets and deposits expand yearly as a result of customer satisfaction and commercial success. This third-generation bank has enjoyed 23 years of success and prosperity, and it hopes to do so in the years to come.

They said Premier Bank has gained the public's trust by making a significant contribution to the nation's financial sector and economic expansion.

On Wednesday (October 26), in its 23-anniversary program Dr HBM Iqbal, founder chairman of Premier Bank Limited said: “Our journey started in 1999 and since then, we have been able to prosper and achieve our current position by earning the trust, faith and love of the people. Our bank has had an important role in the development of various sectors across the country. We could not have achieved our current position without the support, guidance and love of our valued clients, well-wishers, patrons, controlling bodies and media personnel.”

M Reazul Karim, managing director and CEO of the bank said: “Our journey on the road to prosperity will continue. Premier Bank's current portfolio of assets and deposits stand at Tk38,280 crores and Tk29,130 crores respectively, while the present AD ratio is 74.26% compared to 76.22% last year.” 

“Our bank's present LCR is 123.96% which was 117.21% last year, while NFSR is 124.52% which was 122.38% last year and the percentage of bad loans is 2.76%. Our AD ratio, LCR, NFSR and percentage of bad loans is in good standing according to the standards of Bangladesh Bank,” he disclosed.

The MD and CEO of Premier Bank are also optimistic that, within the next five years, their institution would rank among the best-performing banks in the nation across all metrics.

Muhammed Ali, advisor to the bank said: “Bangladesh is moving forward towards the goal of becoming a developed and prosperous nation by the year 2041. In this journey, Premier Bank continues to be a major and significant contributor due to the various progressive strategies we have adopted under the leadership and guidance of Dr HBM Iqbal, chairman of the Board of Directors.”

Earlier Dr HBM Iqbal, chairman of the board of directors of the bank inaugurated the 23-year celebration program. 

M Reazul Karim, FCMA, managing director and CEO of the bank presided over the ceremony attended by the members of the board of directors BH Haroon, MP; M Imran Iqbal, Jamal G Ahmed, Nahyan Haroon, Independent Directors Kaiser A Chowdhury and Naba Gopal Banik, Advisor Muhammed Ali with many others.

Financial Statement Q3

Listed company Premier Bank Limited has released its unaudited financial statements report for the third quarter (July-September) of 2022.

Till September 30, Premier Bank's total assets stood at Tk38279.75 crore.

It is reported that in the third quarter (Q3) the company's Earning Per Share (EPS) was Tk1, while in the same period of the last year, this EPS was Tk0.59.

Meanwhile, in the first nine months (January-September) of the ongoing year, the earnings per share were Tk2.54. 

In the same period of the last calendar year, Premier Bank's EPS was Tk2.03.

As on September 30, 2022, the net asset value per share was Tk20.84.
