The inaugural gala dinner of the seven-day-long Malaysian food festival took place on Saturday night at the Sky Ballroom (16th Floor) of Le Meridien Dhaka.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr AK Abdul Moment attended the event as chief guest while Minister of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmad was present as the special guest.
Meanwhile, the High Commissioner of Malaysia Haznah Md Hashim was present at the event as the guest of honour.
The event began with the welcoming speech of Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BMCCI) President Syed Almas Kabir, followed by the dance performance by Skydance Panorama Entertainment of Malaysia.
Eastern Bank Ltd’s new product BMCCI-EBL MasterCard was introduced during the event.
Organized by BMCCI, the festival is expected to showcase the best of Malaysian cuisine. The food festival will start on Monday and continue till October 16.
During the Malaysian food festival at Latest Recipe, the price of the buffet dinner will be Tk6500 per person. There will be buy-one-get-one offers available on some bank cards.
