Hishabee, a Bangladesh-based startup that helps small businesses reduce bottlenecks, lower overheads and open revenue streams by providing them with a full stack solution, has recently inaugurated its dealer program.
The program is aimed to allow micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) around the country to get access to the platform's services such as POS systems, websites and mobile applications by getting on board as dealers.
Founded in 2020, the start-up has been providing a one-stop solution for all types of business accounting, e-commerce websites, and marketing needs - made in both Bengali and English languages - with easy-to-use Bengali training videos and tutorials; enabling small businesses to access technology, market, finance and information through their full-stack solution.
The startup’s digital-based business solutions do not need the user to have any technical knowledge or the ability to write a single line of code, in the efforts of digitizing small businesses.
“One of Hishabee’s core values is accessibility and keeping this in mind, Hishabee inaugurated a dealer program,” Zahin Mohammad Juvi, one of the founders of Hishabee told Dhaka Tribune.
“Other than technology, any small business can now get access to marketing, legal, finance and insurance services via Dealer Points across the country. These services are reasonably priced so that all businesses can get the help they need to better manage and grow their businesses,” he further said.
According to the start-up, the dealer program is one of the many steps to revolutionize how Bangladeshi offline businesses operate and it works as a distribution channel to reach people who need tech and marketing support in their local neighbourhood.
The startup's solutions empower offline businesses with a mobile-first point-of-sale (POS) service that is integrated with a built-in inventory and book-keeping system and the capability to create an e-commerce website with a personal domain and e-commerce apps in minutes, allowing the MSMEs more direct-to-consumer (D2C) sale.
The platform is also building direct integration with delivery and payment gateway partners so that MSMEs can get a full end-to-end solution and explore the digital realm.
As per its founder, the startup has so far helped 17,000 businesses in the country with its full-stack solutions, currently having 50,000 downloads in Google Play Store, which hit the 100,000 download mark already but has not yet been updated.
Sonobar Maira, one such user of the platform stated: “Best application for MSME business owners. Easy to count daily sales, purchases and expenses. The best part of this app is I can easily calculate my profit and loss in a minute. I can even get all the details for each and every product. I really love this application.”
Apart from Zahin, the startup's two other founders include Rakin Mohammad Savi and Ratul Bin Tazul.
In December 2021, the platform raised $120,000 in pre-seed funding.
