Toriqul Islam Tusher, a search engine optimization (SEO) specialist working at a digital marketing agency, works at an American company's office remotely from his home.
After years of working his way up the freelancer's ladder, his monthly salary is now in six digits. Not only is he earning money himself, but Tusher has also paved the way for unemployed youths to earn through freelancing training.
Tusher is a freelancing marketplace associated with Fiverr and Upwork as a top rated freelancer.
Now, in addition to his own freelancing, Tusher has started teaching freelancing skills through a training center to youths back in his own village of Pirganj in Rangpur.
He also has an online Facebook page, named after him, as well as a YouTube channel called "Learn Freelancing with Tusher."
There he provides guidance on various aspects of freelancing by taking live classes and videos there.
From there, young people are getting inspired about different means of outsourcing including SEO (search engine optimization), social media marketing and other skills.
So far, he has been able to train 50 unemployed people in his village and more than 300 unemployed youths through online classes.
Tusher said that the boys and girls of the country are very talented and smart.
They can easily do freelancing, because the world of freelancing is endless, he also said.
"Here it is important to acquire a special skill in the beginning rather than mastering many subjects. Newcomers who want to join freelancing, their main goal is to earn money, that's why they can't do anything better. When you start to acquire skills, you don't look at the money," Tusher suggested.
He said, the big problem for young people is client management. And many cannot do it properly. As a result, the desired success is not achieved.
To overcome this problem must be proficient in communication in English.
If one does freelancing work as a student, it will be an additional income stream for him.
Regarding freelancing qualifications, Tusher said that those interested must first acquire academic education.
Second, they must get educated about the work they want to do in the freelancing profession.
If it is illustration or web development or digital marketing then you need to take education in that subject.
Tusher further said that freelancing is not a shortcut way to become rich overnight. Only a person can grow through hard work.
"When people see me living in luxury, they assume that it’s easy for me, but the truth is that I worked hard to get where I am today."
