A government delegation led by Agriculture Minister Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque visited Pran’s industrial park ‘Pran Agro Limited’ at Ekdala in Natore on Wednesday evening.
They visited different parts of the industrial park and saw the various production plants including noodles and spices, reads a press release.
Director (Marketing) at Pran-RFL Group Kamruzzaman Kamal and Executive Director at Pran Agro AKM Moinul Islam Moin apprised them about various aspects of the production process.
The minister expressed satisfaction to see the overall activities of the factory. Agriculture Minister said: “We are fascinated to see the activities of Pran in the factory. The way Pran is processing and selling agricultural products in the country and abroad, we are proud of their success and achievement in 145 countries. They are processing milk, tomatoes, mangoes and vegetables.”
He also added: “Pran is setting examples in the agriculture sector. We want to commercialize agriculture and need to develop agro-processing for this. I have come here to see all those things myself. Pran is doing many things that cannot be understood without seeing them. Pran’s activities are a joy for us.”
Shafiqul Islam Shimul, MP of Natore-2 constituency, Umme Kulsum Smirti, MP of Gaibandha-3 constituency, Shamima Akter Khanam and Hosne Ara, MPs from reserved seats for women, Md Benozir Alam, director-general of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Shameem Ahmed, deputy commissioner of Natore and Liton Kumer Saha, superintendent of Police of Natore, among others, were present at the event.
