Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 8 2021 edition in Bangladesh

Xiaomi has brought back the Redmi Note 8 in a new 2021 edition to Bangladesh, the original being one of its best-selling devices in the country.

Inspired by its success in 2019, Xiaomi is re-launching the phone in Bangladesh with a prominent upgrade to ensure peak performance, said a press release.

The retail price is Tk17,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant.

The Redmi Note 8 will be available in three colors: Moonlight White, Neptune Blue and Space Black.

This device will be available from Tuesday across all authorized Mi Stores, partner stores and retail channels in Bangladesh.

Redmi Note 8 (2021) boasts a powerful G85 processor from MediaTek Helio, offering an overall stellar performance for daily usage.

Concurrently, the smartphone contains all the excellent features of its popular predecessor, including the versatile camera, 6.3 inch display and high-capacity battery.

Furthermore, due to its feature of the latest MIUI 12.5, a heavily modified android ROM (read-only memory), new Redmi Note 8 will allow its virtual-experience to be cleaner and faster. Memory usage will also be reduced by 20%, and power consumption by up to 15%.

Additionally, to provide consumers with more control, users will now be able to uninstall and remove preloaded applications which they do not want on their phone.

The device is also designed to offer the ultimate gaming experience through its G85 chipset, by MedioTek Helio. It will be able to run games and more at the smoothest frame rate possible, even while multitasking.

Ziauddin Chowdhury, country general manager of Xiaomi Bangladesh, said: “We are a fan-centric brand and that’s why we have brought back the Redmi Note 8 (2021)- the performance all-star with a massive upgrade. The phone's gorgeous 6.3″ FHD+ display, quad camera setup and durable glass in front and back is an exceptional choice in this segment.”
