The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) elected Mohammad Bul Hassan as its new president in the 64th council meeting held in the capital on Saturday.
Prior to this he was the senior vice president of ICSB from 2016-20 and the treasurer from 2013-2016, said a press release.
He is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Siemens Bangladesh Limited.
The Council of the Institute, at the same meeting also elected M Naseemul Hye as the senior vice president, who was previously the senior vice president of the institute for 2013-2016 and vice president in 2010-2013.
He is currently serving as senior executive director and company secretary of Bashundhara Group.
Salim Ahmed, company secretary of Eastern Housing Ltd, was elected as the new vice president.
Prior to this new assignment, he was the Treasurer of the Institute for the term 2019-2020.
At the same meeting, the council also appointed Md Shafiqul Alam, as the treasurer of the institute.
Currently he is the principal and CEO of Shafiqul Alam & Co., Chartered Accountants, sponsor director of Bizz Solutions Limited, finance adviser of Super Star Group (SSG) and president of CFO Foundation of Bangladesh.
