Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh donates safety materials to Covid-19 frontliners

To safeguard the frontline responders against coronavirus, Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh distributed disinfectants and cleaning materials to Dhaka North and Dhaka South City Corporations, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and the Department of Health (DG Health) through Bangladesh Scouts.

The items were handed over to the representatives of the respective organizations through a video conference on Sunday with the theme "Shobai Mile Bhalo Thaki", said a press release.

To protect the frontline responders from contracting Covid-19, the Department of Health (DG Health) received 20,000 Dettol Soaps and 6,000 Liquid Harpic, Dhaka North City Corporation received 20,000 Dettol Soaps and 7,500 Liquid Harpic, Dhaka South City Corporation received 20,000 Dettol Soaps and 7,500 Liquid Harpic, and DMP received 15,000 Dettol soaps and 22,000 Liquid Harpic products from Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh.

Mohammad Shah Kamal, senior secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief and National Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts (Social Development and Health) presided over the handover ceremony.

“Bangladesh Scouts and Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh have continued with their developmental work even in this pandemic. Let us make our country healthy and clean by raising awareness through ‘Shobai Mile Bhalo Thaki'," he said.

Nusrat Jahan, marketing director of Reckitt Benckiser Bangladesh Limited, said, “We have undertaken numerous initiatives with Bangladesh Scouts to raise awareness.   Besides, the frontline responders of the country are working relentlessly to keep us safe. Showing that we care about them, is our way of paying tribute to their noble work.”

Salauddin Ahmed Tareq, chief coordinator of Dettol Harpic Porichchonno Bangladesh and Jamal Sikder, National Deputy Commissioner (Health) and Convener of Bangladesh Scouts also spoke on the occasion.
