LGED gets new chief engineer

Md Abdur Rashid Khan joined as the Chief Engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED). 

He was working at LGED headquarters as Additional Chief Engineer earlier. He took over as the new Chief Engineer on Saturday, said a press release.

Md Abdur Rashid Khan started his career as an Assistant Engineer in November of 1986 by joining LGED. 

He was promoted to Executive Engineer in 2002 and served as Project Director for various projects. In January 2016, he was promoted to Supervising Engineer and headed the LGED Headquarters.  

In November 2016, he was promoted to Additional Chief Engineer and served as Additional Chief Engineer (Training, Planning, Design and Research and Rural Infrastructure Development and Management) at  LGED Headquarters.
