Emirates, Dubai based airline, ensured precautionary measures against covid-19 disease for all of its employees and customers said a press release.
All cabin crew, boarding agents and ground staff who have direct contact with passengers are now wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes a protective disposable gown, safety visor, masks and gloves, it informed.
Besides, masks and gloves were made mandatory for all customers at the Dubai International Airport, the homeland port of the airline, the release mentioned, adding that thermal scanners to monitor the temperatures of all passengers and employees were also set up at the airport.
Meanwhile, the Emirates also modified its in-flight services for health and safety reasons, it added.
The media release said that food and beverages in flight would be distributed with bento-styled boxes to reduce contact between the crew and customers during meal service, and minimize risk of interaction.
Cabin baggages would not be accepted on flights. Carry-on items allowed in the cabin are limited to laptop, handbag, briefcase or baby items, it reads.
All Emirates aircraft would go through enhanced cleaning and disinfection processes at Dubai Airport, after each journey, the release said.
