Pathao, an on-demand essential digital platform for delivering essentials, has re-launched its “Tong” service in response to the coronavirus pandemic, to keep people safe in these critical times.
In collaboration with different government organizations, Pathao is also sending financial aid to people.
Through this service it promises to deliver food, medicine, health and hygiene products to the customer’s doorstep in less than 40 minutes.
People can now avail the service and order daily necessities by going to the Food tile in the Pathao app and then to the Tong section.
It has also enabled contactless delivery of all orders that are paid for digitally.
Pathao’s delivery agents have been trained to maintain strict health and hygiene and avoid direct contact with customers during their delivery process.
Their agents have been trained to stand at least three feet away from the door of a house where they deliver or leave parcels at a designated spot after getting confirmation from the user.
Digital payments are made available and encouraged in order to minimize unrequired human interaction. Payments can be made by using visa, debit cards and wallets of mobile financial services.
Pathao has also distributed safety tools to its agents, riders and foodmen to make sure they are safe while delivering products to its customers.
Hussain M Elius, CEO of Pathao, a market leader in ride-sharing, food delivery and e-commerce logistics, said, "We continue to collaborate with the ICT Ministry, a2i, different government bodies, e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (eCAB), and other industry colleagues to ensure that a critical supply chain is maintained.”
“We will proactively communicate with you if we anticipate any impact on our ability to serve you. These are uncertain times, and the only way we can go through them is by staying together. Thank you for being with Pathao,”Elius added.
Pathao has empowered millions of people by enabling income, employment and improving the quality of life.
