Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) is going to arrange National Internet Fair 2019 in the capital after the Eid holidays next month.
“We will organize the fair in Dhaka after Eid. Our objective is to hold the fair across the country gradually, initially at all divisional headquarters,’ ISPAB General Secretary Imdadul Haque told the Dhaka Tribune on Tuesday.
He said ISPAB was keen to spread internet everywhere in the country so that people could know about the power of internet and necessity of internet to grow and survive,
He said the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department would provide all types of cooperation in holding the fairs.
In 2017, the internet fair was organized by Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS).
Internet service providers (ISP) will showcase their services and products at over 30 pavilions and 160 stalls in the three-day fair on June 12, 13 and 14 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
ISPs at the fair would offer 10-20% discount on prepaid connections along with attractive gifts such as mugs, key rings, T-shirts and free internet cards.
During the fair, seminars would be held focusing on major impacts on VoIP, E-Commerce and ICT-based operations, said the organizers.
