International IT experts and local business leaders on Monday stressed ensuring a secure digital transformation, in line with the latest global high-performance technology.
They made the recommendations speaking at the seminar for "Accelerating Digital Transformation and Security", jointly organized by Oneworld Infotech and global IT giant, Oracle, at Gulshan Club in Dhaka.
A global team of Oracle technology experts shared their experience at the seminar on how enterprises can begin to optimize their businesses better and plan for the future with unique performance, security, and flexibility delivered by the Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, here for the first time in Bangladesh.
Speaking about the cloud appliance, Oracle Business Development Director Leong Kam Hong said: “Oracle Private Cloud Appliance is an integrated infrastructure system engineered to enable rapid deployment of converged computing, network, and storage technologies for hosting applications or workloads on a guest OS [operating system]. It is a data center-class system that provides incremental and scalable performance optimized for consolidation of mixed workloads.”
One World Global Director Maruf Ahmed said cloud-ready IT infrastructure from Oracle can be a key enabler for organizations to become agile as they embark on their journey with a roadmap for digital transformation.
The seminar brought together government officials, IT and information security experts from multiple world-leading technology companies, and business leaders from banks, financial organizations, manufacturing, aviation and healthcare, to discuss a secured digital transformation overcoming all security threats.
Among others, Oracle Solution Engineering Director Paisit Wongsongsarn, Converged Infrastructure Solutions Director Sze Mun Foo, Bangladesh Computer Council Executive Director Partha Pratim Deb, and Abul Mansur Mohammad Sharf Uddin, head of the CCA office under the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, also spoke at the seminar.
