Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority on Thursday awarded the licence to the Aman Economic Zone, a concern of Aman Group, to be developed in Narayanganj.
It will be established on 83 acres of land on the bank of Meghna River. The location is close to the Dhaka-Chittagong highway.
BEZA Executive Chairman Paban Chowdhury presided over the licence-awarding ceremony attended by Aman Group Chairman and Managing Director Rafikul Islam and other high officials of both sides.
AEZ is the second private sector economic zone that gets final licence after full-filling all requirements including environmental impact assessment and feasibility study.
