Alamgir Shamsul Alamin has been elected as president of Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB), while Nurun Nabi Chowdhury, MP, as senior vice president of the governing body at an election of its Board of Directors.
Due to the absence of the eligible candidates in this election, candidates who submitted their nomination papers, were declared elected, uncontested. The election was held on Tuesday.
Additionally, six members of the Chittagong region have also been elected. This committee will be responsible for the next two years (2018-2020), said a press release.
Seven people were elected as office bearers from the 26 elected directors of Dhaka and three elected directors of Chittagong region.
Liakat Ali Bhuiyan, Md Anwaruzzaman, Kamal Mahmud, and Abdul Kauiam Chowdhury have been elected as vice presidents of the association. Mohd Shohel Rana has been elected as vice president of finance.
Newly elected directors of the association include Naimul Hassan, Asadur Rahman Joarder; Md Al Amin; Shahid Reza; Nazrul Islam; Md Shakil Kamal Chowdhury; Lion Sharif Ali Khan; Masuda Siddique Rozy; Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique; Md Rabiul Hasnat; Ratan Kumar Dutta; Tauhida Sultana; AKM Kamruzzaman; Mohd Didarul Haque Chowdhury; Mohiudddin Sikder; SM Delwar Hossain; Md Shahadat Hossain; Salim Raja Pintu; AFM Ubaidullah; Mohammad Ali Deen; Prodip Kormoker, and; Mahbub Sobhan Jalal Tanvir.
REHAB’s 2018-2020 election schedule was announced on September 22 of this year. As per the schedule, the final result was announced on Tuesday.
