Meet the Makers, the first exhibition organized by Made in Equality, was held in Dhaka on Saturday.
Made in Equality is a storytelling platform featuring people from the Bangladeshi RMG sector, particularly garment workers. Through the Meet the Makers exhibition, the organization aimed to portray the lives and stories of people in the apparel industry through story telling.
For two years, Made in Equality has been working to improve the lives and perception of garment workers in Bangladesh.
“We believe that there is an opportunity to transform how the public perceives people in the apparel industry. This can lead to public advocacy on their behalf and greater consideration by consumers about their role in the garment industry,” Made in Equality said in a press release.
The initiative is supported by the C&A Foundation.
