Growing up in the poverty prone Taraganj, Rangpur has been quite challenging for one man.
After dropping out of school and earning a meager wage at a textile mill in Chittagong, Shariful came across Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) and a local NGO, MJKS.
At VSO, he received vocational training at the Government Technical Training Center (TTC) in Rangpur through a four-week long program.
From earning Tk50 – Tk100 per day, he now earns 500 – 1500 taka after receiving a certificate from TTC validating his credibility.
He also managed to repay a loan of Tk47,000, lifting a tremendous burden from the shoulders of his family.
