Bob Dylan removes Nobel mention from website

After winning the Nobel Prize, Dylan was bombarded with praise all around the globe but kept quiet. He performed in a concert with The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney, but did not speak of his Nobel win.

On October 17, one of the posts on his website had a by-line acknowledging his Nobel win. That was the only acknowledgment from the Bob Dylan team about his Nobel win.

Screengrab of the original post was the sole reference to the Nobel win from an official Bob Dylan representative

Two days later on October 19, the post did not contain the reference to the Nobel Prize.

Two days later, the reference the Nobel win was removed from the post

The dismissive nature towards the Nobel Prize indicates that Bob Dylan is not too enthusiastic about the win. It would be no surprise given that he was a spokesperson for a generation against war whereas the Nobel committee was commissioned by an arms maker.

A week after his win, Bob Dylan has yet to respond to communication attempts by the Nobel committee. Sara Danius, permanent secretary of the committee said that she tried but could not reach the reclusive troubadour on any avenues.
