Do you remember the infamous YouTube battle between PewDiePie and T-Series that raged from August 29, 2018, until April 28, 2019? In the end, T-Series won the title of the most-subscribed YouTube channel. Now a feud between MrBeast and T-Series has been reignited by prominent YouTuber James Stephen Donaldson, also known as MrBeast.
Additionally, MrBeast declared on the microblogging service X, formerly known as Twitter, that T-Series, with 247 million YouTube followers, is the most subscribed YouTube channel. With 174 million members, MrBeast's channel is now in second place. “I'm doing this for Pewdiepie," he wrote in a post dated August 5, reviving the rivalry for the most subscribed YouTube channel.
PewDiePie, a pseudonym for Swedish YouTuber Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, previously held the title of the most subscribed YouTube channel until T-Series began to overtake PewDiePie's statistics in late 2018.
PewDiePie even made a song called "Bitch Lasagna" as a diss track directed against T-Series, getting support from a number of other YouTubers in the process. Nevertheless, PewDiePie reclaimed the top rank on March 27, 2019, after T-Series had briefly held it for five days. However, T-Series surpassed PewDiePie on March 29, achieving 100 million subscribers.
PewDiePie received backlash for “offensive lyrics” towards Indians in his diss tune. Many of PewDiePie's supporters harassed and spammed the T-Series channel by posting PewDiePie-related comments and criticizing the videos on T-Series.
MrBeast recently claimed that his most recent video, "7 Days Stranded At Sea," became the most-watched non-music video on YouTube within a 24-hour period. On August 5, this video was made available.
The 25-year-old content producer uploaded a snapshot on a Tuesday showing 46 million views for one of his YouTube videos. He declared: "My latest video broke the record for the most views for a non-music video in a 24-hour period! When I was 13 years old, I used to fantasize about the life I now lead every night. I am really appreciative to everyone who watches our films! We'll never take for granted your support.”
