Patient watches Baahubali 2 as doctors perform brain surgery

After winning the heart of millions, blockbuster Tamil film Baahubali has helped doctors of Andhra Pradesh hospital perform a complicated brain surgery. Vinaya Kumari, a 43-year-old nurse, was diagnosed with a brain tumour. She was taken to the operation theatre at Tulasi Multi Speciality Hospital of Guntur on September 21. Doctors screened the film on a laptop during her operation because the complicated procedure required that the patient remain conscious. As the film helped the operation procedure to be successful by keeping the patient awake and engaged, doctors are calling it "Baahubali Brain Surgery." “The patient did not panic through the process, in fact, she was enjoying and humming the songs,” said Dr Srinivas as quoted by news18.com. A video of the operation procedure where Kumari is seen to be enjoying the movie and humming its songs is trending on social media. She has already been discharged from the hospital. Vinaya Kumari said: “The surgery lasted for about an hour and half, but I hoped it would go on a bit longer, so that I could see the entire film,” reported news18.com.
