The roll honours people for their contribution to making positive changes to society
Sagar Mazumder, a young Bangladeshi, has been placed on the George HW Bush Points of Light Roll of Honour 2021.
This honour recognizes individuals who step forward and take action to create a positive impact on society.
Sagar has been on a mission to solve the problem of quality education in Bangladesh. He is a Diana Award recipient and United Nations Young Leaders for the SDGs finalist, who believes in the power of youth to create impact, said a press release.
The Inspiration Honor Roll members inspired countless others to step off the side-lines and make an impact through volunteering. They empowered others to seek out their own unique ways to make a difference and then provided them with the opportunities and resources they need to make the biggest impact, according to the Points of Light website.
The third annual George HW Bush Points of Light Awards celebration was held in-person in New York on September 28. Co-chairs of the awards celebration included Barbara Bush, Victor and Patricia Ganzi, Jenna Bush Hager, Lauren Bush Lauren and Wendy Wear Stapleton.
