The collision between two vehicles resulted in a gas cylinder explosion
At least four people have been killed and three others injured when a gas cylinder inside a microbus exploded after it rammed into the back of a truck in Golapganj upazila of Sylhet.
The incident occurred at Hetimganj Pashchim Bazar area around 5:30 am on Wednesday.
Police have identified three of the deceased as of yet, confirmed Golapganj police station OC Harunur Rashid Chowdhury.
He said: “The microbus carrying passenger caught fire when its gas cylinder exploded as soon as it rammed into the back of a truck near Mollagram Government Primary School road Wednesday morning.”
Three passengers died on the spot, while a passerby was seriously injured and later died at the hospital, he added.
Informed, Fire Service and Civil Defence along with Golapganj police responded to the scene of the accident.
