Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Tripura lashes out at Left of depriving poor farmers

Ahead of the Assembly polls held next week, the chief minister of the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, on Tuesday lashed out at the left front government for “depriving” the poorer section of people of Tripura at large.

In a press conference held at the state guest house, Adityanath alleged that the Manik Sarkar-led left front government has failed to live up to the expectations of the people. The Uttar Pradesh chief minister has been campaigning for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the northeast Indian state of Tripura.

“While implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is going on across the country, the works of the Central Government scheme has not been completed yet in Tripura,” alleged Adityanath.

“The centre (government) has been pumping in good amount of outlay for development of healthcare and education but the utilisation of funds is not up to the mark,” added the chief minister.

Stressing that the Modi government wants to bring a change in the socio-economic condition of the people, Adityanath further said, “Janadhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujala Yojana have made a good impact on rural India but due to poor implementation efforts in Tripura, they failed to deliver likewise in this state.”

The Indian monk and Hindu nationalist politician also expressed doubts over the law and order situation in Tripura.

“As many as 550 attacks on BJP leaders and workers in Tripura were reported over here for one and half years. Besides, there has been a rise on women atrocities here under the Manik Sarkar Government,” he said.
