Bangladesh’s Rubel Hossain clicnhed the boys’ singles title of the Asian Under-14 Tennis Torunament beating Shahibzada of Pakistan in the final at BKSP yesterday. Rubel outplayed his opponent 6-4, 6-3.
Meanwhile, Pakistan duo Shahibzada and Irfanul Hoq became the champions in the boys’ doubles event as they defeated the pair of Faruk and Sadeen by 6-2, 6-2.
Afrana Islam Prity beat Rebeka Sultana Joya to bag the girls’ singles title while Safina and Prity became girls’ doubles champions beating the pair of Joya and Suma Khanom. BKSP direcor (administration) Mohammad Hanif distributed the prizes among the winners as chief guest.
