Biddut Chacha SS seal Women’s Futsal

A total of 10 teams divided into two groups took part in the tournament

Biddut Chacha Smrity Sangsad clinched the Cup title in the Women’s Futsal Cup 2019 after beating Goal Diggers in the final at Jaff indoor futsal ground in Dhaka Saturday.

Narayabgong Promila Football meanwhile, claimed the Plate category after defeating Torque Fashion Limited in the grand finale.

Nuzhat Sabah Firdaus of Goal Diggers was adjudged player of the final while her teammate Samaha Hamid was named player of the tournament.

Habiba Akter Shimi of Narayanganj Promila Football was adjudged the best goalkeeper while Shurmi Akter of the Cup champion finished as the highest scorer.

Rupa Akter was named the best defender.

A total of 10 teams divided into two groups took part in the tournament.

The Ambassador of the Embassy of Spain Álvaro de Salas Giménez de Azcárate, president of Saif Sporting Club Mohammad Nasiruddin Chowdhury, deputy head of the mission of the Embassy of Spain Emilia Celemin Redondo and chairman of Jaff arena and academy Brigadier General (retd.) Mohammad Refatullah were present during the opening ceremony.

Saifpowertec, Saif Sporting Club, Embassy of Spain and Women’s World were the sponsors of the tournament while Olwel was the health partner.

Dhaka Tribune was the media partner and the radio partner was 96.4 SpiceFM. 

Women Futsal Committee organizer Mohammad Nehal Abedin said, “We tried our best to make the event a successful one, and we will continue this every year.” 

One of the owners of Jaff, Iqbal Haider Galib said, “It is my pleasure to have a tournament like the Women’s Futsal Cup in Jaff.”
