Mushfiq remains unsold in IPL auction

Only two Bangladesh cricketers – Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah - made their way to the final players’ list of the upcoming season of the IPL T20

Bangladesh’s Mushfiqur Rahim has not been selected by any of the franchises for the IPL auction which took place Tuesday in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

With a base price of Indian Rupees 50-lakhs, the wicketkeeper-batsman remained unsold. 

Only two Bangladesh cricketers – Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah - made their way to the final players’ list of the upcoming season of the IPL T20.

As many as 1,003 cricketers were included in the initial list, but the final list was decreased down to 346 for the 12th edition of the tournament.

Bangladesh’s Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Sabbir Rahman, Imrul Kayes, Abu Haider, Liton Das and Nayeem Hasan were part of the initial list. 

Meanwhile, all-rounder Shakib al Hasan has already been retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad for the forthcoming season.
