Bangladesh U-21 hockey team sealed the five-match Test series 3-0 against their Oman counterparts with one game left as they thrashed the visitor 4-1 in the fourth and penultimate game at Maulana Bhasani National Stadium in Dhaka Saturday.
Mahbub Hossain scored the first goal in just the second minute for Bangladesh while the second came from Ashraful Islam in the 13th minute.
In the third quarter, Ashraful got injured and left the field, while Bangladesh’s captain in this game Sohanur Rahman Sabuj found the net twice from penalty corners in the 40th and 43rd minutes.

Oman’s Rashad al Fazari pulled a consolation goal in the 58th minute from penalty corner.
The home side had earlier beaten Oman in the third game 2-0 Friday at the same venue, while the two teams drew 2-2 in the second match Wednesday.
Prior to that, Bangladesh won the first match 5-1 Tuesday.
The last and final game will be held Tuesday.
