Ibrahim makes chances count

Before being removed by off-spinner Nayeem Hasan, Ibrahim Zadran recorded his maiden Test half-century on debut, adding 87 off 208 balls

Dropped at silly point on zero in the third over of the innings and again on 66, Ibrahim Zadran has been the highlight of Afghanistan’s dominance over Bangladesh in the second innings. 

The visitor at stumps on day three have a huge lead over the 19-year old Test experienced side. 

Before being removed by off-spinner Nayeem Hasan, Ibrahim recorded his maiden Test half-century on debut, adding 87 off 208 balls.

The 17-year old Ibrahim has toured Bangladesh twice in the last two months. 

During the month-long tour of the county with Afghanistan A, Ibrahim had finished as the highest run-scorer in the two-match unofficial Test series, scoring 209, backed with two half-centuries. 

Ibrahim had also topped the batsmen’s list in the five-game unofficial one-day series with 273 runs, boosted with a century and one half-century.
