Bangladesh men defeated India’s Kolkata by 2-0 sets, while Bangladesh women won against India’s Hyderabad by the same margin in Malaysia’s Independence Day World Throwball Championship at Central Batu Park in Kuala Lumpur Sunday.
Earlier in the morning, executive director of Walton Group and vice chairman of the World Throwball Association FM Iqbal Bin Anwar (Dawn) inaugurated the competition.
Malaysia Throwball Association’s officials were present during the ceremony.
A total of 29 teams from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and India are participating in this tournament.
Fifteen of them are men’s teams and the rest 14 are women’s sides.
Three teams from Bangladesh are taking part in this tournament.
Bangladesh men’s and women’s throwball teams are sponsored by Walton Group.
