Fide Master Syed Mahfuzur Rahman Imon Friday clinched the UCCC Blitz Rating Chess, organized by Uttara Central Club, at the hall room of Bangladesh Engineers Club Limited in Uttara, Dhaka.
Imon bagged six points from seven matches.
Mohammad Hasan Imam also finished with six points but had to be satisfied with a runners-up finish following the tie-break.
Anat Chowdhury, Anwar Hossain Dulal and Ahmed Firoz ended third, fourth and fifth respectively with five, 4.5 and four points accordingly.
Shornavo Chowdhury claimed the U-16 category while Abul Kashem al Shahid won the below-1800 event.
