Antora Rahman, Ferdousi Moumita, Mustarin Ahmed Sheetal, and Sunanda Sharmin have won the grand finale of the first season of “Sunsilk Divas;” the first-ever music reality show for girls in Bangladesh. The winners will form a professional all-girl pop band in Bangladesh, whose name will soon be announced.

The grand finale, which was held at International Convention Centre Bashundhara on April 29 and managed by High Voltage Limited, was filled with excitement from the contestants, and featured laser shows and animation acts with state-of-the-art choreography. The top finalists performed individually, and in group performances. Also, there were performances by the jury panels, singer Elita Karim, and Artcell.

The winners—as a band—were awarded a cash prize of Tk5 lakh, a two-year contract with ArtistSpread (a joint platform of Creinse Limited and Sony DADC), an opportunity to sing for a Bollywood film album, four Honda Dio bikes, and Nokia smartphones. Nokia smartphones were given to each of the competition's top 20 contestants.

The prizes were presented by: Unilever Bangladesh Limited Marketing Director Nafis Anwar, Sony DADC Director and Business Head Jojie Mamen, Creinse Limited Managing Director Rabeth Khan, and Assistant General Manager of Bangladesh Honda Limited Mohammad Ashequr Rahman.

The event was conceptualized and produced by Creinse Limited. The competition, which commenced in August 2019, was driven with the belief that every girl in Bangladesh has an abundance of talent and endless dreams to achieve. All they need is platforms which will open doors of opportunity for them.

From thousands of people who registered for the competition, a jury panel—comprising of Zohad Reza Chowdhury of the band Nemesis, Sharmin Sultana Sumi of Chirkutt, plus singers Alif Alauddin and Hridoy Khan—selected the top 20 contestants from an audition round, who eventually went on to compete in the television rounds.

The television rounds began in January 2019 on Deepto TV, and culminated in the grand finale— in which the top seven contestants competed and four winners were declared. The grand finale was telecast at Deepto TV last Friday.
