The woman was later taken to Santa Paula hospital with minor injuries
Hollywood actor Harrison Ford came to the rescue of a woman, whose vehicle lost control and crashed into an embankment off a freeway on Sunday, reports the Hollywood Reporter.
After the accident on California State Route 126 around 12:10pm local time ensued, the “Star Wars” actor, who had been at the airport earlier, stopped on the freeway.
According to a Santa Paula Fire Department (SPFD) representative, Ford, one of the several bystanders, pulled over and rushed to the woman’s aide, rescuing her from the car wreck while the paramedics arrived.
The woman was later taken to Santa Paula hospital with minor injuries, said the SPFD representative.
Ford himself is no stranger to dangerous incidents. Most recently, he had mistakenly landed his private plane on a taxiway at an airport after a near-miss with an airliner carrying 116 passengers.
