Bob Weinstein repeatedly made romantic overtures to Amanda while also asking her to join him for private dinners
A female showrunner named, Amanda Segel, who worked on the Weinstein Co. drama The Mist has accused Harvey Weinstein’s brother, Bob Weinstein of sexual harassment during the production of the Spike TV series.
According to the recent report of Variety, Weinstein repeatedly made romantic overtures to Amanda while also asking her to join him for private dinners.
The harassment began in the summer of 2016 and continued on and off for about three months until Segel’s lawyer, David Fox of Myman Greenspan, informed TWC executives — including COO David Glasser — that she would leave the show if Bob Weinstein did not stop contacting her on personal matters, Amanda informed.
Segel told Variety that she clearly said no to Bob and that should have been enough but he kept on insisting that he wanted to have a friendship with her. But she thinks that he wanted something more than a friendship and hopes that a simple “‘no’ is enough from now on.”
However, a representative for Bob Weinstein denied the allegation and said it was unfortunate that she made such claims.
