The King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen opposite his Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma for an upcoming film, to be directed by Raanjhaana and Tanu Weds Manu famed director Aanand L Rai.
A lot of speculation surrounding the casting of another female lead in the film has been making rounds ever since Katrina came on board earlier this year. Finally, the makers have recently confirmed that Anushka has been roped in for the movie.
“I’m thrilled that Anushka is joining Shah Rukh and Katrina for my next. From our very first meeting, she had an instant connection with the character. She seemed very excited about the challenges this role entails,” Rai said in a statement.
“She is at a more-than-ready stage in her career to essay a complex role like this. We have been working on her look and prepping for the film,” he added.
On a different note, shooting for Rai’s yet-to-be-titled project has reportedly been stalled on Sunday, as a portion of the ceiling collapsed on the sets in Film City, resulting in minor injuries of two crew members. The shooting will resume later this week, confirmed sources.
The film is slated for a release during Christmas 2018.
