A man of the Paba upazila of Rajshahi surrendered to the police in the early hours of Friday after killing his wife.
Rentu Ahmed alias Shariful, 36, confessed to killing his wife Lovely Begum, 28, by slitting her throat and severing her tendons at his house in Kalartikor on Thursday night, said Mazharul Islam, officer-in-charge of Damkura police station.
Later, he surrendered to police at Damkura police station around 3:30am.
Rentu claimed to have killed Lovely for having an extra-marital affair, said the OC.
Police recovered the Lovely’s dead body in the morning and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
