A woman has been crushed to death by a train near Hajiganj Railway Station in Hajiganj upazila of Chandpur.
The incident occurred around 9pm on Monday.
The deceased, aged around 45, has not yet been identified.
Hajiganj Railway Station Master Rupon Chandra Shil said: “The inter-city train, Meghna Express, coming from Chittagong, hit the woman and killed her on the spot. However, we have already informed the Railway Police.”
Acting on information, Sub-Inspector Belayet Hossain visited the scene.
