A suspected robber has been killed in a mob beating in Potirajpur village of Ishwardi, Pabna.
The incident occurred on Friday.
The deceased is yet to be identified. Police said he may have been in his late twenties.
Ishwardi police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bahauddin Faruqi confirmed the incident and said: “A group of robbers, about five or six of them, tried to rob a house in Potirajpur village.
Neighbours realized what was happening and chased the robbers. All but one of them managed to get away. The one captured by the mob was beaten to death, on the spot.”
The OC said police have recovered the body and brought it back to the station. A case will be filed in this regard, he said.
