At least 379,000 Rohingya refugees have entered Bangladesh since the latest spell of violence erupted in the Rakhine state
Police have detained 20 Rohingyas from Singair upazila of Manikganj district.
They were detained Wednesday evening.
Manikganj Superintendent of Police Masudur Rahman said: “Acting on a tip-off we conducted a drive in two unions of the upazila and detained the Rohingyas.
“We have interrogated them. They will soon be sent to refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar.”
The detained Rohingyas have been kept at Pilot High School in Singair, he said.
According to International Organisation for Migration (IOM), as of Wednesday, at least 379,000 Rohingya refugees entered Bangladesh since the latest spell of violence erupted in the Rakhine state.
