A bus-microbus collision on Bogra-Nagarbari Highway in Salanga upazila around 1am killed four people, including three of a family
At least 18 people were killed in separate road accidents in Gopalganj, Sirajganj, Chuadanga, Pabna, Tangail and Rajshahi on Thursday.
Six people, including four of a family, were killed after a bus collided head-on with a microbus on Dhaka-Khulna Highway at Kashiani upazila.
Five of them are Halim Akand, his wife Asma Banu, their two sons Sujon and Siam, and Asma’s brother Badal Hawladar. The deceased microbus driver is yet to be identified. Ten others were also injured in the accident.

The deceased are Solaiman Miah, his daughter-in-law Lili Akhter, and his grandson Sagar Hossain. The fourth deceased could not be identified immediately. Five others were also injured in the accident.
A sexagenarian woman was killed after a motorbike hit a human-hauler in Damurhuda upazila.
The victim, Ajirun Nesa, was seriously injured in the accident. She was taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital from where she was referred to Dhaka. But, she died on the way to Dhaka.
Two youths named Ashraful Islam and Shipon Hossain, both aged 25, were killed in a motorbike accident on Dashuria-Muladuli Highway in Ishwardi upazila.
After the bike they were riding crushed into a sugarcane field, they fell off it and died on the spot around 2pm.
Two female pedestrians, Reba Begum Nijborni and Sahaton, were crushed under a microbus in Dhanbari upazila in the morning.
After the accident, they were sent to a local hospital where they were declared dead.
Four-year-old boy Junaed died as a motorbike hit him near his home at Godagari upazila.
He died after being admitted to Rajshahi Medical Hospital.
Meanwhile, Tusher Hossain and his nephew Shaheen Ali died after a truck collided head-on with their bike at Puthia upazila.
