The railways minister highlights how they can go paperless and be corruption-free using IT and software
Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan has said a corruption-free and paperless Railways Ministry will be created using information technology and software.
"By installing software and using information technology, we will be able to reduce passengers' costs and wait time," the minister said. "At the same time, we will ensure that a corruption-free ministry is built."
The minister made the comments at an inter-ministerial meeting about one-stop digital services and creating a mobile app, at Bangladesh Railway Bhaban, on Wednesday morning.
State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, also present at the meeting, said that after creating a mobile app, there will be no possibility for tickets to be sold on the black market.
The project will cost a total of Tk2 crore and a joint team has been formed to work on the project.
