The HSC and its equivalent examinations began on April 1 and will continue until May 11

Update : 28 Apr 2019, 09:11 PM

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) finance and banking exams, which had been scheduled for Monday under Dhaka and Jessore boards, will now be held at 2pm on May 7.

Prof Muhammad Ziaul Haque, the inter-board coordination subcommittee chief, announced the new schedule to reporters on Sunday.

The decision to reschedule the exams came after an envelope containing multiple choice question papers of finance, banking, and insurance second paper was mistakenly opened at Alfadanga Government College centre in Faridpur on Sunday.

"The same thing also happened at Kapilmuni College centre in Khulna’s Paikgachha," Ziaul said.

Meanwhile, the finance, banking, and insurance second paper exams under other boards will be held as per schedule at 10am on Monday, Ziaul informed.

"Monday’s exams of other papers in all boards will also be held as per the original schedule," he said.

The HSC and its equivalent examinations began on April 1 and will continue until May 11.

Around 1,138,747 candidates are taking part in the exams under eight general education boards of the country.
