A man has been killed in a train accident at Shewra area of Dhaka's Kuril Bishwa Road.
The incident occurred around 7:45am on Wednesday. Although his age was determined to be around 55 years, police are yet to disclose his identity.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Dhaka railway police station, Md Delwar Hossain, said: "The man, wearing a black t-shirt and grey trousers, was crushed to death by a Dhaka-bound train, possibly due to carelessness.
"We recovered his body around 10:45am and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital Morgue for autopsy," he said.
Police are trying to identify him, the ASI added.
