Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said diplomatic efforts have been strengthened to bring the fugitive killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Thursday.
He made this statement while talking to the journalists after paying tribute to the family members of Bangabandhu in city’s Banani graveyard on the occasion of the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day.
“The government has strengthened its diplomatic efforts to pave the way for bringing back the fugitive killers of Bangabandhu who remain fugitive and have taken shelter in different countries,” he said.
The government is committed to punish the fugitive killers appropriately, he concluded.
