The Election Commission will begin data collection for updating the voter list of Dhaka city dwellers from Wednesday.
Apart from areas under the jurisdiction of Wari, Sutrapur, and Demra, data will be collected from door to door in all areas of Dhaka, reports BSS.
Election Commission Secretary Md Alamgir said this at a press conference at the Election Commission Secretariat at Agargaon in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Election Commission sources said, the first phase of the voter list updating activities was held from April 23 to May 13 in 135 upazilas.
Information of some 2,25,307 citizens have already been collected.
The commission has a target to collect data of 8 million citizens this year. Some 53,512 data collectors have been recruited across the country for the task.
