One of the victims of the devastating fire at Dhaka's FR Tower in Banani is fighting for his life at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
The hospital authorities notified the press about this on Friday morning.
The victim, who is undergoing treatment at the DMCH, has been identified as Rezwan Ahmed, 35.

Confirming the matter to the Dhaka Tribune Dr Samanta Lal Sen, chief national coordinator for the DMCH burn unit said: "A total of six victims of the FR Tower fire incident are receiving treatment here. Rezwan's condition is critical.
"He might have jumped from the FR Tower building to save his life. He has multiple fractures. Currently, he is being kept in the post-operative unit."
Among the six victims admitted to the DMCH, Abul Hussen, 30, was released from the hospital around 12:30pm because of family reasons.'

The other FR Tower fire victims admitted to the DMCH are: Towkir Islam, 31; Abdus Sabur Khan, 40; Sabbir Ali Mridha, 35; and, Anupom Debnath, 35.
Previously, on Thursday, a fire broke out at Banani's FR Tower around 12:52pm; it claimed the lives of 25 people and injured at least 70.
It took 21 firefighting units of the Dhaka Fire Service and Civil Defence to douse the fire, and it was brought under control around 4:45pm on the same day.
