Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have seized 28kg of cannabis and 1,140 bottles of phensedyl from Raghunathpur border area in Benapole.
The cannabis and phensedyl bottles were seized early Monday.
BGB 49 Raghunathpur camp Commander Havildar Abdul Mamun said: “Acting on a tip-off, we raided Sadipur ground area when drug peddlers were smuggling cannabis and phensedyl from India.
“Sensing our presence, they left behind the drugs and fled the scene.”
He said the seized drugs were sent to Benapole port police station.
