Two suspected New JMB militants of Sarwar-Tamim group held

The arrestees are accused in a case filed with Fatullah police station under Anti-Terrorism Act

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two suspected militants of New JMB’s “Sarwar-Tamim group” from Abdullahpur and Shanir Akhra areas in Dhaka.

The arrestees are Ruhullah Atik alias Nurullah and Chowdhury Hamdan Bin Firoz alias Muhit.

RAB Media Wing Director Commander Mufti Mahmud Khan confirmed the matter Sunday afternoon.

He said the arrestees are accused in a case filed with Fatullah police station under Anti-Terrorism Act.

Details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press briefing later in the day.

According to RAB, Sarwar Jahan alias Abdur Rahman alias Abu Ibrahim al-Hanif was the chief of New JMB while Gulshan attack mastermind Tamim Ahmed Chowdhury was the second-in-command of the group.
