Six days have passed since the original case was filed, but Banani police failed to make any arrests.

The police case of the rape of two women in a Banani hotel has been transferred to the Victim Support Centre.

DMP Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media) Yusuf Ali told the Dhaka Tribune that as per Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia’s orders, the case will now be investigated by the Victim Support Centre.

Until Tuesday evening, the case was with Banani police. Now, Banani police will assist the Victim Support Centre with all investigations going forward.

However, ADC Yusuf Ali declined to explain why the transfer was made and whether the fact that Banani police Officer-in-Charge BM Forman Ali took a five-day-leave from Tuesday.
